A premium dessert brand, dressed like a fashion label.
English Mittai is a Hyderabad-based premium dessert brand making cakes that are true works of art. They came in with a strong product and a name that always stopped people mid-sentence. The goal was to turn that double-take into a superpower.
Make the cake the centerpiece.
Mission. Craft exquisite, premium desserts that serve as the centerpiece of any celebration, blending masterful flavor with bold, artistic presentation.
Vision. Become Hyderabad’s most iconic dessert brand, synonymous with modern elegance and impeccable quality.
Skip every bakery cliché.
Before touching a pixel, we had a long, honest strategy conversation. The entire dessert category leans pastel, cursive, and sweet. We chose to look sideways, to fashion and modern art, and design for one specific person: the Modern Hostess, the woman who wants her cake to anchor the room.
A rabbit, but make it sophisticated.
The founder shared a personal connection to rabbits and wanted one in the logo. The creative challenge was to make it sophisticated, not childish. I sketched across minimalist rabbit heads, monogram lockups, and figurative illustrations, looking for the one that could live on a dessert box and a fashion tote with equal confidence.
A monogram with three stories hidden in it.
The approved mark is a custom M for Mittai that also holds the E for English. As a nod to the founder, the negative space of the M carries two subtle rabbit ears. A small cherry sits on top, giving the mark a clear dessert cue and a primary brand identifier that works alone.
The result: clean, modern, memorable, and quietly layered. A brand that sits as comfortably on a cake box as on a runway invite.

From “what’s that name?” to that’s the one.
The identity turned the brand’s biggest question mark into its sharpest asset. English Mittai now shows up in the market looking less like a bakery and more like the premium dessert house it always was underneath.
